My daughters, my teachers

I consider myself very blessed, first I have Boon as my teacher, academically and spiritually. Now I have five daughters to be my teachers, especially the know how of using internet.
It was in Hainan that I first learn about Yahoo and in Vienna I learn to downsized my photos and sent to others. Then I had Grete with me for the last one year to teach me the details and fine tuned some of the things I have learn. Then in Perth I finally learn about this blog. Yesterday I learn how to transfer photos from the thumbdrive to this blog> I have been wanting to show you some photos taken but didnt know how to do it in internet cafe , since prema is not able to walk, I have to learn new thing again. Bravo... here I am... Successfully uploaded the photos !

Prema in cast. We went for checkup yesterday and she still have to wear it till the 12th of Aug. She is still the same cheerful Prema. Studying and working with her laptop and singing away.

As for me, I go for my morning walk every morning at 6am and to market, then to GEMS (prema's kinddy). sometime I have kueh kueh and coffee for breakfast but most of the time just coffee. Cook lunch, laze around and play scrabbles or sudoku. Twice a week I spend two hours at internet cafe, that will cost me about RM3/- .

activities in battambang

These photos show some of the activities that happen in Battambang. the men with the sword is a Taiche master, he teaches in the park every morning but I am always late. And consider I go there very early, at 6am the latest.

Some photos taken in the Market, as you can see, the different kinds of dried fish and the veg.seller.

Ali and Christina from US came for a visit and we had dinner at Prema's. The dessert are fried crickets and pregnant eggs(boiled egg which has small chick inside)

Especially for my daughters..

IN CASE you miss me or wondering what I am doing and how am I, this message is specially for you all.

I am hot, hot and hot... and I am busy, busy, busy killing flies, mosquitoes, and rat if you have read my last posting.

Ok, joke aside, I wake up at 5.30am everyday, walking to the park, then the market (about 5km.) do my marketing, then go to Gems International School, meet up with Ronnie and Maureen (both friends from Malaysia), chitchating for a while, sometime have breakfast together. Then take a motordup (motor taxi) back to the house. Cook lunch, play scrabble, sudoku and spend a relaxing afternoon with Prema. So far, we only cook once because it is easier and food here is cheap. We spend about rm 10/- for dinner for three of us. By 9.30pm I am in bed inside the mosquito net and sleep come easily because of the walking and sweating(non stop)

I come to intenetcafe every two days hoping to hear from all of you but alas...

How to kill a rat in 5 minutes

I wanted so much to write about my trip to Australia, but with all this holidaying, packing and unpacking, all my inspiration has gone with the wind and here I am, landed in Battambang, Cambodia.

Before I tell you how to kill a rat in 5 mints. first I must tell you about Prema and Juan's house. Juan briefed me about all their friends the first hour of my arrival. They are all varieties of frogs, spiders, mosquitoes, flies, lizards, gikos, snakes and rats..... They need to clean their kitchen everyday of rat's droppings and urine. Well, Prema was so eager for me to cook, she misses my cooking (that's what she said). Since Prema's leg is in cast, it is Juan's task to clean the stove. To make the long story short, I heard a shout from Juan while frying CHAMPEDAK, asking me how to kill the rat that fell into the pail of water in the bathroom. It was easy, I asked for a tong, with it I pressed the rat and drowned it. It was struggling, then plop..plop...plop...slowly, very slowly the air bubbles stop and it was dead.

Let me tell you, I never know that killing a rat can be so easy and I felt so happy killing it. I think I am a bit of a sadist. May be Bee Lee can tell you more about how cruel I am, how I used to pinched her when I was young.(she never let me forget) But she always forget to tell how she used to put her two feet on my face when we sleep.
the end...

Melbourne

I have never seen Autumn leaves turn yellow, red and gold and dancing in the wind ! I wanted to take in everything in my mind eye and never had enough of it. Susie and Jasmine must think me gila.

OK, I am back, I have been struggling for the last one hour learning how to post my photos, chatting with someone on skype, and getting connected to Air Asia and my phone never stop ringing, I can see that my blood pressure has gone so high that my brain is going to explode!!(finally, I still could not post any photo, got thru to Air Asia and got more frustrated)
As you all know, Prema is supposed to come back yesterday for the rainforest festival and she met with an accident, hospitalized and not able to travel for the next one month. So I called A Air Asia hoping to change her flight to Chinese New Year but... sigh.... as fay said, just burn the ticket la....
ok lah, I gave up..since I started writing, I had 4 calls from Fay, 3 calls from Air Asia and 2 from House of Ezryn (for my massage appointment) and a few calls from friends. I shall do it in the middle of the night.

Busy busy busy!!!

I have been resting so much in Perth and I wish I am back there again, doing nothing, being pampered by Lisa (not even need to wash my own cloth!) Let's see what did I do in Perth? First three weeks I stayed with Lisa, followed her everywhere like a child, thinking by so doing maybe I can lose some weight!(see how naive I am)
Let me tell you, she is not only a good host but a good cook also! Please, all you nieces & daughters, listen, and listen well, you must take her as an example.Make sure that all the ah ees are comfortable and happy!
Then I went to stay with Yulia and Kamal, I knew Kamal since 1971, he was a young boy then. Yulia is a fantastic mother, they have three boys (just imagine!) who are so energetic and full of live, love and fun. Out of the blue, Nikita would come and hug me. Sharaf is a scholar with his glasses, fun to talk to him, he knows quite a lot and can hold a conversation with you. Ravi..... what should I say about him? he is a bit reserved, still too young to be diplomatic.

Got to go... will continue later... this is what i mean by wishing to go back to a quiet life in Perth ! :(

Let's see, what should I write? There are so many things to write, my daughters, my grandchildren, my SISTERS, my travelling, my friends and so many many things !! Where do I start ? HELP !!! some more Grete is not beside me anymore to correct my grammar and spelling mistakes.

Ok la, since I just came back from Australia, I shall write something about my stay there. First I must not misspell Australia as Austria. I went to Perth on the 8th of May, hoping to get a job as an ironing lady, earn some money and HOPEFULLY change my clothes size from 14 to 10 as Lisa has done, but fat chance! I am still a size 14 !!! :(
