Yes, I am still a Baha'i

Yes, I am a Baha'i since December 1970 and I still am a Baha'i. The acitivities below is just to show everybody what I have been brought up and what I was taught to do when I was young without knowing the meaning.

We had one altar outside the house. It is where the Almighty God sat. In the house, we had Goddess of Mercy, God of Wealth, God of Power on the main altar. Next is God of Kitchen in the kitchen, and below the altar is the God who protect the earth. Beside the main altar sat our ancestors, they did not have any place in the main altar at all. (I understand and know the above Gods and Goddesses only when I became a Baha'i)

I remember I had to burn lots of josstick every morning and evening. As the hierarchy goes. I had to go outside the house to pray to the Almighty God who takes care of all the other Gods and Goddesses. Most time I did not say anything but if there was an exam coming, then I asked Him to help me pass my exam :-). Since I did not understand the rest of them and what were their responsibilities, I did not ask for wealth or power.

But there were occasions that we have special request like my ancestor's birthday or death anniversary that we had to ask permission from the All Mighty for them to come back and have their lunch. My mum taught me to say these verses " God, please allow my so and so to come in to the house and have their food". According to her, they would not be able to come in without permission. A special table set out with lots of their favorite food and fruits. (see my blog on my brother's one year death anniversary)

Temple of peace and safety in China town, Kuala Trengganu.

It reads "kindness and love filled the room"

First thing first... after lighting the candles on both side, one had to light all the jossticks as the same time. 3 big sticks for The Almighty God that sat outside.

The 3 josstick for each of the house Gods

The two pieces of wood usually determine whether the Gods are pleased with you. It is a happy throw when each piece was on different side. That mean I can ask for anything.

By shaking these cylinder, one of the sticks will jump out and that will be the answer you are looking for.

Answer to my request.... this is a very good reading.

Kuala Trengganu has many many mosques and this is so far the most beautiful one.
