Mona & moni

Who are they? don't worry, I didn't do anything hanky panky behind all your back.. they are the children of Prema's friend, Sano.

Sano came for a 10days visit and he stayed in my place, he must have gone into my blog (my laptop use auto signin) and decided to create one of his own but didnt realize that he changed my blessed grandma to his mona and moni..hence the confusion.

Imagine how shock I was when I checked my blog ? and the amount of questions I needed to answer ? What did I learn from this lesson? Do not lend my computer to others? do not open my home to frineds ? do not use auto signin? or what? My daughters will tell you that I never learn from my mistakes.... It was like that and it will be like that for the next 30 years (if I still alive)

December - month of endless evens

Engrossed in reading
I will challenge any one who dare to bring 4 grandchilden for shopping. Done it, enjoyed it and lost my voice doing it.
Trip to Bookshop
@ the bookshop, don't underestimate Kai-en and Gaia, they know which book they wanted to buy too. Although Gaia is just 3 yrs old and Kai-en not even 3 yet !!

December starts with a bang ! Lani and family came back to KL for holiday, Mark came back from Vienna, Sano (a friend from Cambodia) came for a two week visit and then Fay and family came home too. And just imagine, this is only half a month and I am expecting more visitors !

Zena and family left for Melbourne yesterday, Sano leaving today and I am bringing Ti-Jin back to Singapore by train tonight. Will be in Singapore for 3 day, to attend Li-Ann's birthday. Let's see how many Birthdays are there in December, : Mark, Fay, Li-Ann, Tamara, Andrew and Saw Yang.

It is also shopping time..... It is going to burn a hole in my pocket with the coming X'mas and my eldest brother's 39 years wedding anniversary :( But I am looking forward to all these evens. It only show that I am surrounded by people I love and people who love me too.

Why I love Battambang ?

I wanted to write about Prema's school but never got to do it. Now that Prema is blogging, too, I thought I should show you how the school looks like. Front view of the school..It is a three-storey building. Ground floor is the school, 1st floor consists of two big rooms, one room rented out to a friend and the 2nd floor consists of two big rooms and one big kitchen.

Kitchen... where the heart is! I especially love it, other than having cooked and entertained friends, we played scrabble, sudoku, computer games and talked till late at night, sharing our views, our dreams, our sadness and happiness, too.
Bedroom is really big and it is simple but comfortable with bare necessity. We made do with old curtains and some old furniture left behind by previous owner.
I love this picture. See how engrossed he is.

Beijing November 2006

At the Silk Market and there I realized that both of us are useless when come to bargaining
Grace of China met Grace of KL See how alike we both are ! Grace and family left for China in the year 2000, her youngest son (the handsome boy next to us) was only 7 yrs old then. Fay took all us (Grace & son and Mei Szi) out for dinner at Rumi Restaurant,(it belongs to a friend of our's) It happened to be Mei Szi 's birthday that day.
Took Fay and Mei Szi to tour the Forbidden City. Mei Szi was really impressed by my bullshiting ! She went to Beijing 6 months ago and have not been to anywhere. She came over to the hotel the first night and stayed with us for a night.
This scene is very rare in China. In fact I traveled to so many parts of China and hardly see any begger. This is one of the few.

To you, all my fans

I had a few phone calls lately asking what had happened to my blog. Is it die of natural death. Well, I have been busy as usual, busy doing what ? you may ask , as usual, I was busy with sisters, daughters, grandchildren and friends.

I had a wonderful surprised birthday party with some of my friends on the eve of the birthday and Zena bought me 11 different types of cakes ! Talk about diet.... and then Lani and family came back to KL and then I went to Beijing with Fay.

You may ask why I didnt put any caption on my last two photos taken in Beijing. It was because I was in singapore and using Fay's computer and I am not used to her desktop.

You will be seeing me again soon.
