Where are all the students? Far far away.......

Mr. Sondha  was a refugee who left Cambodia in the70's and became an Australian. He came back to Cambodia after his retirement. We went to a village which is far away from Battambang to donate some books to the school. The journey took us more than two hour both way.

 

It was a school day but not even one student or teacher could be seen because it was the time for harvesting Mung Beans, All of them have gone to harvest. According to the Principle, this happen all the time, they will come back to teach and study when the season is over. But the harvest is all year round, after mung beans, then corn, then paddies..... and then what?
