A tribute to "Siew Tay"

As I walked into Zena's house, I was introduced to this two beautiful ladies. Su Ming is the mother of Yuen Lee and Carol is her aunty.

We clicked instantly and while we chatted, the topic of me being a Baha'i came up and Carol said she had a cousin who was a dental nurse who was also a Baha'i. The name "Siew Tay" immediately came to my mind and I blurred out her name.  and lo and behold, she was their cousin.

"Siew Tay" I don't know her well, Met her in 1971 when I was in Kuching. She was on her way to Kapit for a home front pioneer post and stayed with me for a few days.  For the last 40 years, she has never entered into my life or my memory. I can't remember how she looked like but I remember the song she taught me.. " to teach is to learn, to learn is to serve...."

Blessed her soul, she may be gone but even after 43 years, I still remember what she taught me.
