I love the Narsh market in Vienna, where the Turkish would call on you to buy their products, where there is the Thai shop that you can get almost everything, from 'petai' to 'belacan'. It reminded me that I am on holiday in Europe. I live a glamorous life, walking in a market that can only be seen in the movie only. Unreal and unlike any of the market in Malaysia and definitely not like those in Vietnam and Cambodia.

But the most interesting market I have ever been to is the Bengchouk market in Battambang, Cambodia. It is chaotic, dirty, dark on the inside and messy outside but if you take a leisure walk, you can see many things. Only on the 2nd last day of my last trip that I realized that most of the sellers were wearing hats! And they're BEAUTIFUL hats, too. It reminded me of the photos Grete put up when they went for the "horse racing" day, all dressed up with beautiful hats!

At this market, you can also get your fortune told, your wedding dress made, a variety of evening gowns and shoes. You want Prada? Gucci? I usually settle for taufu and pork.
